Hi All,

Can everyone please join the ACTAPUG group on the Adobe Groups portal
http://groups.adobe.com/groups/8980662cdb/summary

When you join if you don't already have an Adobe profile you will need
to create one. This is a better platform for us to manage the group
as it has everything consolidated including an events calendar.

See you there.

Cheers,

R

No "Join" button on that page that I can see - can someone point it out?

You need to login with your Adobe logon first...

I need to login to have access to the join function? Seriously? Not click join then be asked for my account details or asked if I want to create a new account?

:)

All things I will throw back at Adobe, I guess they don't want you to leave :)

Guess they want you to be registered with them as they are giving you something for free – just marketing bumph, not a conspiracy J

I don't object to registration, I object to the hidden functionality... Join button not available until after login... And I am disappointed that noone else on this list can see an issue with that.

Adobe, of all people, need to be mindful of accessibility. Some of us have been pushing the "yes, with half a brain you can make PDF (and Flash) accessible" barrow for years, this kind of thing just makes it harder.

Thanks Rae,

If they want some observations and research on why hidden affordances are a bad idea, please send them my way... It may save them some embarrassment in the future :)
