Hi All,

Here is the link to the Flex Training modules, can we please have a
vote on preferences for a single module. Please choose one entry
level, one intermediate and one advanced module. We can decide later
on which one to run with based on group member profiles.

I'd say:

Unit 3: Learning Flex Fundamentals
Unit 10: Customizing the Application
Unit 15: Displaying Data Using the DataGrid

Hi,

I think that the events are the most non-intuitive parts of Flex so
I'd add in:

Unit 4: Handling Events

Hi Rob,

Yes I agree, although coming from a Mach-II background they are like swimming in the same pond for me, but I do remember the steep learning curve when I was first eventing :)

Hi Rae,

I'm fine with event's. It's the way that Flex and mxml implement
events is the bit that threw me. It's worth explaining because it's
not obvious.

Hi guys,

My vote considering that we would like to start attracting a few new
(CIT, Uni) people would probably some sort of a combination from:

Unit 3: Learning Flex Fundamentals - For a quick introduction to Flex.
Unit 8: Using View States for Application Design & Unit 10:
Customizing the Application - To get an idea about styling, states and
transitions.
Unit 15: Displaying Data Using the DataGrid - For an introduction to
dataBindings and dataProviders.

Cheers,

Simon
