Hope everyone is well and that your Relay was a success! There are
four topics this month:

1. Have we done everything we can to wrap up our event properly, and
what can we do to improve for next year?
2. Some thoughts about Relaying year around
3. Some great new resources on-line for Relay For Life
4. Share your best, most successful ideas!

1. Have we done everything we can to wrap up my event properly, and
what can we do to improve next year?

Wrapping up is important... It's a way to reward volunteers, talk
about what worked and didn't, etc. So if you haven't had one, have
one... Check out an agenda for a wrap-up:
* http://www.acsrelay.org/Darn_Good_Ideas/21-Wrap_Up_Meeting_Agenda.doc

Here is a form on which to collect event feedback:
* http://www.acsrelay.org/Manual/05-Feedback_Forms.doc

Here is an example of feedback collected for an event using the feedback form:
* http://www.acsrelay.org/Darn_Good_Ideas/05-Feedback_Forms_Summary-Example-Howard_County.doc

It is also good for the chairs and/or committee to do a critique of
how it went and what to do differently next year. Check out for an
example critique:

----------------------------
2. Some Thoughts about Relaying Year Around

Many Relay For Life events keep the activities going year around...
Check out the following list for ideas that you could do between now
and your event kickoff for 2006:

----------------------------
3. Some great new resources on-line for Relay For Life

There are some more great resources on the web now for Relay, thanks
to some great volunteers and ACS staff. Some new additions:
* http://www.flickr.com/relay_for_life - a site where you can post
pictures of your Relay
* http://relayblogger.typepad.com/relayblogger/ - Here, you can
blog about Relay (talk about your thoughts)
* http://www.cancer.org/docroot/GI/content/GI_1_8_Second_Life_Relay.asp
- Second Relay For Life - information about a site where a virtual
Relay takes place!

Of course, there are also still the great resources that have been out
there for a while:
* http://www.relayamerica.com - Relayamerica.com for discussions and questions,
* http://www.cancer.org - the ACS Relay For Life discussion board.
* http://www.acsrelay.org - 'Nuff said :)

Check out the following list for a full list of on-line resources and
descriptions:
