Location: 100% Remote

Job Description:
Over 12 years of experience
Programming & Automation:
Java (11+): Proficiency in writing test automation scripts and understanding backend logic.
Cucumber (BDD): Experience creating feature files, step definitions, and integrating with test runners like JUnit/TestNG.
Postman: Advanced usage for API testing, including scripting with Pre-request Scripts and Tests using JavaScript.
TestNG or JUnit: For structuring and executing automated test suites.
API & Backend Testing:
REST API Testing: Deep understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, payloads, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
JSON/XML Parsing: Ability to validate and manipulate API responses.
Swagger/OpenAPI: Familiarity with API documentation and schema validation.
AWS & Cloud Integration:
DynamoDB: Understanding of data modeling, querying, and validation in test scenarios.
AWS CLI or SDKs: For test setup/teardown and environment validation.
CloudWatch Logs: Ability to trace backend issues and validate test outcomes.
Manual Testing Skills:
Test Case Design: Strong grasp of boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and exploratory testing.
Defect Lifecycle Management: Using tools like JIRA.
Regression & Smoke Testing: Ensuring stability across deployments.
Database Validation: Writing and executing SQL queries to validate backend data.
Cross-component Testing: Validating integrations between services and third-party APIs.
Analytical and Communication Skills:
Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex backend flows and pinpoint failure points.
Communication: Clear reporting of test results, defects, and collaboration with developers.
Documentation: Writing test plans, strategies, and maintaining traceability matrices.
