Are these the displays we were talking about?

LG 34UM95-P 21:9 UltraWide WQHD (3440 x 1440) IPS LED Monitor with Thunderbolt
Looks like between $700-800

Here is the curved one:

34" Class 21:9 UltraWide® WQHD IPS Curved LED Monitor (34.0" Diagonal) 34UC97-S about 900-1000$

Here is a review of the Samsung! Only a mini display port on this one.

Any feedback?
Thanks, Miles

Yes,

Exactly that kind of thing – though I found good pricing via FRY’s – see two attached images.

Bummer is the display port as opposed to the Thunderbolt port. I have a 27” Dell already with a mini display port, not really a good fit with the Mac. If you put the display see by side you can see an amazing difference. You do not have the same range of display options available with the display port. Really it is not much difference that the HDMI (which is what I ended up using because I had more options).

Also, note the 28” vs the 34” display size, I think that may be why there is a price difference.

Yup – thunderbolt displays are a whole ‘nother level – far higher price pint, far greater functionality, and far superior display quality – so a commensurately far higher price point!

I would love to run one of those eventually… be great for some of my render work and graphics work too.

Sorry for such a late note, but I must apologize for the no-show on Monday. I had all intentions to joining you all, but came doe with a real nasty cold and had to stay home. Tried to send you all a note but it bounced. After a few futile attempts, I gave up.
I am taking this opportunity to piggy back on your discussion and just hit 'Reply' to get my message through.
Sorry to have missed you all. Happy Holidays and a Healthy Happy and Prosperous New Year !
