Call for Performers:
Lola Bloom is the head of City Blossoms, a DC-based non-profit that instructs DC kids through urban gardening programs at local schools. They are awesome.
Every year they run a themed garden party fundraiser (I went to their moustache mascquerade last year, and it was super fun). This year the theme is "circus insects" and I offered to reach out to some of the circus folks I know to see if anyone would be willing to volunteer an hour or two on June 20th in the evening to do some performance work and/or some informal workshops with the kids in attendance.
Food is provided by local food vendors, supports a great cause, and it's a fun excuse to get dressed up as insects and do what we probably would do anyway. Let me know if you are interested, and/or know of others that might be.
