It looks like I may be driving cross country to ATY. I have several
options for my route from SC to AZ. I am interested in finding anyone
who wants to share the ride. I'm doing the 72 hour, so I should get
there by 8:40 AM (or so) on the 29th and will leave shortly after the
race. Anyonee interested let me know, either here or at
ray...@aol.com

Thanks

Ray,
You must be one tough cookie. Driving over 2,000 miles and arriving
20 minutes before the start of the 72 hour race. Now thats the type
of spirit I wish everybody was lucky enough to have!!! Including
myself! I applaud you for you commitment to race at ATY72. You are
going through a lot of extra work (driving) just to race here in sunny
AZ! Did you know you can sleep at ATY the night before the race?
I will be out there with you the first 48 hours, we will have to
introduce ourselves.
So this is going to be a lot more than just a 72 hour race for you,
and that's great!!! I am very inspired by that.
Please be safe on the way down, and especially on the way back.
By the way, I have a place to stay on the 1st, if you would like. The
last thing anybody wants is you driving back tired after 72 hours of
running.
Stay safe, and best of luck finding someone to accompany you on your
2,000+ mile journey.
Looking Forward to meeting you!
Healthy Regards,
EnergeticRick!!!

Rick,

Thanks for the kind words, and information. This is an easy trip
though, and one I've done before, many years ago.

Now there was this 48 hour where I drove to NY, flew to London, took a
bus to Paris, then a train to Montauban. Yeah, that was a trip,
repeated in reverse 6 hours after the end of the race (but I did get
to sleep on the train).

Looking forward to ATY>

K (Still looking for riders, though may have one for partway back)
