There will be a training run for the Javelina Jundred in mid-October and thought I would invite any runners who would like to go for an evening run through the desert. This run will be completely unsupported. Thanks!
What: Javelina Jundred night training run
When: Saturday, October 18th, 2008; 7pm to 7am
Who: Anyone who can run 15.4 mile loops at night
Where: Pemberton Trailhead in the McDowell Mountain Park, near Fountain Hills, Arizona. See the park website for directions: http://www.maricopa.gov/parks/mcdowell/Directions.aspx
Join us for a training run on the 15.4 mile Pemberton Trail. This is an informal no fee*, no aid, no whining run. Please bring enough food and fluids to make it around each loop since there will be no support out on the course. Run as many loops as you would like. Javelina RD Jamil Coury will be on hand to answer questions about the park or the actual race, to offer moral support, and make sure everyone makes it out alive!
*There is a $6 per vehicle park entry fee
