Please see below for information regarding an upcoming AI and Information Literacy event in Boston, hosted by the Fenway Library Organization. Please share with any interested colleagues!

FLO Information Literacy & AI Workshop
-- May 3, 2024 | 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
-- Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Boston)

This free, half-day workshop and networking event will consist of a keynote and interactive workshop led by Jessica Condlin of Lesley University and lightning talk presentations from 9:30AM-12:30 PM. Coffee and refreshments will be provided.

KEYNOTE AND WORKSHOP: "Empowering Higher Education; Harnessing Generative AI, Addressing Bias, and Promoting Information Literacy." In the ever-evolving landscape of emerging technologies, the intersection of generative AI, bias awareness, and information literacy presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in higher education. This presentation delves into the complexities of these topics and explores their implications for academia. As these technologies continue to evolve, information literacy is of paramount importance. This presentation aims to provide knowledge about the inner workings of generative AI and Large Language Models to bridge the understanding algorithmic bias within emerging technologies.
