Dear Colleagues,

Registration is now open for the 2024 New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians! This year's Boot Camp will be held on June 26-28, 2024 at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Science Boot Camp is a fun and affordable 2 ½ day immersion into science topics offering opportunities for librarians and library students interested in science, health sciences, and technology to learn, meet and network in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. You can find more information here.

The topics for this year's SBC science session are Fisheries Oceanography, Civil & Environmental Engineering, and Community Nursing. Each topical session will include one researcher presenting an overview of the field, followed by a second researcher discussing their own research within the field. This year’s Capstone will feature Citizen Science in Academic Libraries with a combined program that begins with an interactive presentation of tiered options for getting your library involved in citizen science, followed by a discussion with UMass Dartmouth faculty on their work integrating citizen science into classrooms.

Students, faculty, librarians, library workers, and anyone interested in learning more about science, health sciences, and technology are encouraged to attend this conference! Please share this opportunity with your colleagues in BLC and beyond!
