The Upstate Health Sciences Library at Upstate Medical University seeks a collaborative, user-centered, service-oriented librarian to join its team. As part of the Liaison Services Team, and reporting to the Evidence Synthesis Librarian, the Systematic Review Services librarian will collaborate with faculty, residents, and students to support activities leading to the creation of high-quality evidence syntheses and published scholarship.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess exceptional organizational & time management skills and will be enthusiastic about providing evidence synthesis services to the Upstate communities.

On the job you will:
· Provide systematic review services:
o help researchers and students navigate the systematic review process from protocol to publication
o participate on research teams for systematic/scoping reviews and meta-analysis projects across a variety of disciplines
o develop and conduct advanced level search strategies for systematic/scoping review and meta-analysis
o use citation management software (Endnote, RefWorks, etc.)
o Mentor and train early career librarians in systematic review methods and best practices
o Contribute to the
coordination and ongoing development of the Library’s support of systematic
reviews at Upstate Medical University
· Provide reference services:
o contribute to librarian on-call shifts during open hours, answering questions via chat, phone, and email.
o conduct literature searches for our Upstate Community
o provide scholarly communications services including journal matching, bibliometrics, etc.
o engage with students and complete mediated searches and provide database assistance
· Serve on library, faculty, and university-wide committees.

Minimum Qualifications:
· ALA accredited Master's degree in library information science or commensurate degree with relevant experience
· Demonstrated ability to explain and/or teach complex ideas in a clear manner to audiences from diverse backgrounds and contexts
· Strong service orientation with excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills
·
Exceptional organizational & time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience developing, conducting, optimizing, and updating systematic literature searches as demonstrated by a publication record or acknowledgment
· Experience developing and documenting information search strategies using established systematic review protocols
· Advanced experience with database searching
· Skill using citation management software (ex. EndNote)
· Experience with systematic review software and tools (ex. Covidence)
· Demonstrated experience providing information services to, and collaborating with biomedical and health sciences students, educators, researchers, and clinicians
· AHIP certification
