Good morning, all,
Would any of you be interested in helping with a large COVID-related annotated bibliography project? The Medical Library Association’s forum replaced Elaine’s attachment with a link that required a login. I have re-added the file as an attachment.
Thank you,
Erin

Dear colleagues:
Here we are a year later and I have another massive, rapid response-type patron request: It’s more work than one librarian (this one!) can produce in the time frame required: mid-May. And it requires the expertise of a wide breadth of librarians. Can you help me promote this among your networks, or just volunteer yourself?
Job Description:
A patron is working on a USAID advisory committee which will release a Request for Proposals to distribute COVID-19 humanitarian aid in the new federal fiscal year which begins in July, 2020. Within the next two weeks (by Mid-May), resources need to be located in order to
1. capture evidence of the effects of the COVID epidemic (and response to it) on the health and well being of vulnerable populations in low and middle income countries
2. synthesize promising practices related to food security/livelihoods, health and nutrition, humanitarian coordination, logistics, water/sanitation; social safety nets, protection; gender based violence and gender equity; social inclusion
Your volunteer assistance is requested to create a multi-sector annotated bibliography about COVID-19 AND Humanitarian Aid in order to inform distribution of federal funds for humanitarian aid in the FY2021 fiscal year. The context is COVID-19 Humanitarian Aid in the context of:
1. logistics
2. Social safety nets
3. WASH (Water, sanitation and hygiene)
4. economic impact of COVID-19 humanitarian aid
5. food security/nutrition
6. quality of life
7. health
8. gender-based violence and gender equity
9. social inclusion
Attached is a CGIAR COVID-19 Hub report for reference (formerly the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research).
Preferences and requirements:
1. Expertise in a subject area selected.
2. If literature searches are used to find the products, this is also a request to use the new PRISMA checklist to assure reproducibility and transparency (and to build a body of literature searches using this method which a colleague developed).
Please reply to me ASAP if you are able and interested in this project.
