Has anyone worked out how to interface Acq4 with non-National Instruments daq devices? I just inherited a patch clamp rig that has a Digidata 1440a digitizer, acquisition is currently controlled by clampex but I'd really like to use something open source if possible...

I don't know of anyone using acq4+digidata, but NI cards good enough for patch clamp experiments are relatively inexpensive--about $1000, or a little more if you need digital sampling.

If that's too expensive, then maybe we should be thinking about a custom solution like arduino + ADC/DAC chips :D
