Anyone else going from Asheville and want to ride together? I’ll probably be leaving from my office (near the Folk Art Center) between 3 & 3:15.

Project Conserve Alumni,

I hope you’re doing well.  I just wanted to follow up on the email below about our upcoming Project Conserve 20th Anniversary Celebration on June 30 (details below and attached).  If you haven’t already done so, please RSVP by the end of the week (ACPC Anniversary Event RSVP & Information Form).  Even if you are not able to attend, we would love for you to fill out the short survey about the impact of your AmeriCorps term and where you are now.  We look forward to seeing many of you in a few weeks!

Thanks,

Amy

Project Conserve Alumni,

It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 program years since the first Project Conserve team began their service in 2004!  The program has grown and changed a lot over the past years, but one thing that has remained the same is the commitment and dedication of our members to serving their community and environment across Western North Carolina.  This anniversary comes at a difficult time for our program.  As you may have heard, Project Conserve was one of over 1,000 AmeriCorps programs whose current year funding was abruptly terminated at the direction of DOGE.  Although the future is uncertain, we feel that it is more important than ever to celebrate and reflect on what we as a program have accomplished over the past 20 program years.

We will be hosting a Project Conserve anniversary event on June 30 from 4 – 6 pm at Blue Ridge Community College in Hendersonville, NC, and we would love for you to join us!  Please see the attached invite for more information.  Please RSVP by June 9 through the QR code in the attached invite ticket or through the following link (ACPC Anniversary Event RSVP & Information Form).  We’ve included a short survey about where you are now and the impact of your Project Conserve term (or experience supervising or working with Project Conserve members).  Even if you are unable to attend the anniversary event, please complete the survey.  One of the best ways to show the importance and wide-ranging impact of our program in these uncertain times is to share your personal stories of your Project Conserve experience and how it has impacted the community, as well as your own career and professional development.  I look forward to connecting with you all again and hope to see you at our anniversary celebration on June 30!

Thanks,

Amy
