I tried taking off four screws on the bottom. The four screws I did take
out had the common arrows noting disassembly points next to them. Then I
used a small screw driver to pry out the edge of the base a bit and then run
the shaft of the screw driver around the base to unseat/unsnap the base from
the shell/case. FYI - You have to really pull the back edge out wide for
the USB port to clear the shell before it would have a chance to drop the
base down. Unfortunately, even after going around the whole base and
unsnapping the tabs, there is still something holding the base into the
shell. I aimed a micro lamp in between the gap of the base and the side and
saw at least two protrusions/black shafts going from the base up into the
radio, but from the outside of the base I cannot see any access point for
hidden screws that might be locking things together so these shafts may not
really matter after all.
Thanks!

Thanks.
I can tell you that the top plate is attached via sticky tape and that
you have to pull off the volume knob first. After you pry off the top
plate, I think there were a couple more screws under there.
I *may* still have the pictures somewhere but with the new reduced
functionality of Google Groups, I'm not sure what's the logical
location to put them. The text that went with the pics are definitely
lost forever, though.

I am trying to find out more about the "platforms" for lack of a better term that the different internet radios use. Maybe the term is "portal" or aggregator", but I can't seem to tell from my internet searches so far. Sangean, for example, has the WFR-1 and lists vTuner, but the Sangean WFR-20 lists Reciva. Are these called "virtual tuners" perhaps? Are there many of these? For example, does my Logitech Squeezebox use something other than vTuner or Reciva?
