Python not responding example step by step

I have run all of the demo's except Example 3.  I am attempting to use the step by step example and I get the message that python is not responding when I attempt to plot the microphone geometry, and I can't get past it. I have looked at mg.mpos[0] and mg.mpos[1] and the data looks ok.  When I attempt to plot it, the window locks up.  Is there something I should look at?
