Dear user,

Is there a possibility to adjust sound pressure level according to user requirements, when using noise generator, for example WNoiseGenerator and SineGenerator??

If not yet, is there any Trick to somehow change the signal values in the generated WNoiseGenerator class? Or even other ways?

Many thanks in advance! I appreciate any comments.

Best regards,
Shelmy

Yes, this is easily done via the "rms" trait.

E.g., if you define an object

signal = WNoiseGenerator()

you can set the sound pressure rms value in 1 m distance (in Pa) with

signal.rms = 2.0

(the trait defaults to 1.0).

This is somewhat hidden in the reference doc, since it is a trait of the base class SignalGenerator (see http://acoular.org/api_ref/generated/generated/acoular.signals.SignalGenerator.html#acoular.signals.SignalGenerator)

Hope this helps, best regards,
Gert
