The audio format, wma, is one example of a format not supported by
ACORNS. This is a Microsoft codec. The program, switch, is available
that can easily convert between dozens of audio formats. This program
can be downloaded from http://www.nch.com.au/switch/

On that web-site, use the hyperlink saying "Download Switch Audio File
Converter for Windows." There is also a Mac version available.

To convert using the switch program:
1) On the top left of the application frame, click the add files icon
(green cross). You can navigate to the file (or files) that you want
to open in the switch program.
2) On the bottom left, click a destination folder (You can instead
click the "output to same folder" check box to the right of the "save
to folder" option).
3) Click the output format drop down and select the extension that you
want. I did four successful conversions from wma to create mp3, ogg,
wav, and spx files. These are all audio formats that are supported by
ACORNS.
4) Click the convert icon at the top middle (sort of looks like a
lightning bolt with an arrow at the end).
