BAYER NATIONAL SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIP 2011
The Mumbai Scrabble Club in association with the Scrabble Association of
India is pleased to announce the Bayer National Scrabble Championship 2011
to be held at the Residence Hotel.
Date and Time: 27th, 28th & 29th of May 2011 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
from 9 a.m to 7 p.m
Venue: The Residence Hotel & Convention Centre, Before Vihar Lake, Powai,
Mumbai - 400087
Directions: Please refer to the map attached along or visit

Categories: Only one open category
Format: 24-26 rounds (The exact number of rounds would be declared at the
start of the tourney)
First half (Australian Draw format) / 2nd Half (King of the Hill format)
Word source: Collins Scrabble Words (CSW) 2007
Entry Fee: Rs 1200 for SAI Members and Rs 1500 for Non-SAI Members)
The entry fee includes lunch, tea & snacks for all the 3 days of the
tournament.
Registration time: 9 to 9.30 a.m (27th May 2011)
Registration can be done by:
1) Calling Ramachandran on 9892471327 or
2) Calling Nakul Prabhu on 9820454173 or
3) E-mail:- mumbaiscr...@hotmail.com
Registration must be done on or before 15th May 2010.
Prizes: Exciting Cash prizes for top 15 players and spot prizes during the
tournament.Trophies will be given to
top 3 winners.
WSC Selection Criteria has undergone a slight change with the minimum number
of games to be played being revised to 46 rather than 50. All other criteria
remains the same as before.
Important instructions:-
• Participants are requested to bring their own scrabble board, tiles and
clock to the venue
• Participants reaching the venue after 9.30 a.m would not be allowed to
participate in the tournament
• Participants must register in advance to take part in the tournament
• Details about accommodation will be put up shortly on the groups and
