Thank you for your call in response to my query.
Acacia used to issue preference shares to the STANLIB Dividend Income Fund alongside Macquarie as well as preference share issues to leading SA insurers, banks and corporates. We have revisited our cornerstone offering to the retail/ institutional market over the past year and have obtained new opinions, approvals and sign off from Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs and Webber Wentzel.
Currently we have the same offering as the SAIF fund and perform the same role as Ora fund managers/ Bravura /Grindrod as examples. We have an existing CIS that we issue our preference shares through and are hopefully launching another CIS which is going through its final due diligence with an independent multi manager. We also offer the pref issue via a segregated fund mandate for large corporates.
