Hello Everyone,

I hope that you had a nice summer. I would like to hold the first ACM
meeting of the year this Friday at noon in Cramer 221. Please feel
free to bring your lunch.

What's on the agenda? For those who didn't see the FB post, there's a 48-hour game development competition this weekend in Albuquerque and Las Cruces. http://nmgamejam.wordpress.com/

A round-up of this summer and look at the upcoming semester. I also
have two interview questions that I am going to pose.

I'm uncomfortable with such a vague agenda. Here's the points I'd like
to hit with this meeting.

-Mandatory SA club meeting Aug 28 or 29 - Who will attend (need 2)?
-Preliminary planning for Club Fair (September 7) - Do we get any
national materials for this?
-Status of the CTF project(s) -- What's the state of our framework and
our puzzles, and what's the plan going forward?
-Given our interest in CTF and programming competitions, we should look
at organizing a team or 2 for competing in national competitions.

I assume "look at the upcoming semester" includes
-Speakers scheduled for this semester
-The practicum class: Is it still on the schedule? Do we have a syllabus?
-Activities for the semester: Are we putting on CTFs? Are we inviting
Sandia or LANL to do the same? How will we increase attendance at these
events? Should we investigate working with SFS for our events?

I assume "round-up of this summer" includes
-Any post-DEFCON word from Neale
-A debrief on our summer CTFs: UNM and Santa Fe (I'm still not quite
sure what happened in Santa Fe)
-How have we fulfilled our promises to the school's administration for
our funding, and what interactions have been taking place there?
-Take care of funding reimbursement

Good stuff. Also, I'd like to discuss fundraising and community service projects.
