We are still are not completely ready to run competitions, which is
why we will be meeting again tomorrow and next week. Our plan will be
to get a method for remote competitions setup. Then the next week we
will be practicing putting everything together for UNM, when we will
going to their campus on the 21st of April to run a competition.
-- Tomorrow (4/7) (Max, Sam, Daniel, and Ying)
* Work on having multiple VM Clients Connect;
* Work on Documentation; and
* Invite people to compete.
-- Saturday (4/14) (Ian, James, Sam)
* Practice using managed switch; and
* Put together UNM travel pack.
The idea behind using VPN is to allow anyone to compete in CTF from
NMT. However, we probably don't want to pit NMT students against other
universities, since we have a natural advantage from already seeing
the competition. The idea here would then be to have multiple teams
compete from outside of Socorro and then in the future they would come
to NMT to participate against our students.
We are planning a competition at UNM as part of practicing running
events and building closer ties. Hopefully it will encourage their
students to attend more of our events next year. We might also attract
some of them to participate in development of certain features, which
would benefit Neale's framework to EPSCoR.
All the Best,
--Sam
PS - Daniel and Ying, I hope that you can show up tomorrow, since we
could use your help in testing VM Clients. Appreciate the help.
