Position: Senior UNIX Administrator
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 6 Months to Long Term
Job Description:
Essential Functions of position include, but are not limited to the following:
Proficient knowledge of Unix Shell scripting.
Strong Knowledge about packet capture.
Able to deal with app server issues.
Good knowledge of sql.
Perform Level 3 (L3) UNIX system administration.
Ensure the operational reliability and effectiveness of the enterprise UNIX server infrastructure.
Perform problem determination and resolution of infrastructure-related interruptions utilizing internal and external resources as appropriate.
Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts.
Participate in the periodic execution of the business continuance plan, including scheduling, coordination, and documentation updates.
On-call rotation schedule for after-hours support.
Ability to deal with changing priorities and handle multiple projects.
Problem management - Ability to analyze problems, determine root cause, propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution.
