Market Wednesday 11/4

Hi everyone,

We are having one of our Market Wednesday events this Wednesday in the
Union! I need to know people's availabilities on that day and what
they can bring. Remember, if you want to donate baked good, first 1)
wrap them up or put them in plastic baggies, and 2) bring a list of
ingredients.

I am available from 9-11 and from 12:30-2:00. I will be bringing
brownies.

Other preparations -- today I will be talking with the computer store
about getting an ACM-W banner, and I am asking Frank to borrow the ACM
banner for this Wednesday. I ordered a wooden Tower of Hanoi last
Thursday from Amazon, and it should be arriving today or tomorrow.
I'm also going to buy a table cloth today.

I will be available all day and I will also be on campus bright and
early to sign up for the table.
I will be donating fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!
However, please remember that we must be cleared to sell baked goods
and as of now, we are not.
I will let you guys know as soon as they e-mail me.

I will be available from <day start>-10, though I don't think I'll
have any baked goods to donate. Caitlin, what time do you intend to be
out there? I can join you from the time you go to pick up a table 'til
10.

Hey
I'll probably be there by 8 or so. I also still have not gotten any
word from the food permit people so we may not be able to serve baked
goods...

I can still be out there with fliers in any case.

Hi Caitlin,

Ok. If you let me know before dinner tonight, I can make the decision
on whether to bake a lot of brownies or not....

Other updates:
* I now have a wooden Tower of Hanoi. It came with 9 discs, which is
ridiculously hard! We can omit some of the discs.
* I stopped by a store and bought a garnet cloth tablecloth.
* Frank said that we can use the ACM banner until we get one. I'm
going to get it from the ACM room today.
* I'm setting up a time to meet with Heidy to design a good outdoor
banner (and maybe website banner).

Caitlin, what sort of paper materials would you need? I have a lot of
brochure material describing ACM, ACM-W, and CS.... I also have a
limited amount of computer-company-branded "swag" that we could give
away.

I'll let you know by 5:30 or so. I assume if we don't receive
clearance by then, we won't be able to get it. I'm surprised though
because they note that food permits should be submitted 3 days before
an event and I submitted it last Thursday so that should have been
enough time. Hopefully, it will still work out.

I can't believe you actually found a wooden tower of hanoi! I can't
wait to see it!

I have tons of fliers already and I'm probably going to make some
more. However, anything that you think is relevant would be great!
Also, if the food permit doesn't come through, perhaps we could use
the swag as a prize for solving the tower of hanoi (all 9 pieces of
course!)

Ok I didn't get the food permit email so all I can assume is that they
didn't check it in time...
So for now, I guess we'll just have the puzzles and the fliers.

Market Wednesday is going to be so cool with that nifty Tower of
Hanoi! Though we'll garner no monetary profit from the sale of
goodies, we'll still be able to publicize our group.

I can run over to the table when I get to school with the table cloth,
game, banner and swag. I've got some work to do this morning, but I
can also be at the table from 12:30-2:00pm.

Market Wednesday = success! Time allowing, we may be able to do
another next week, especially if we can get that food permit through!
