Live video streaming

Hi all:

I would like to set up some live streaming of a video camera. I would
probably want to use a service that does streaming, like UStream,
LiveStream, or whatever. I would prefer that the video encoder was
running under Linux. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of
thing that would care to share what they know?
