Trying to install an application that I downloaded.  Getting the following when at the point of 'sudo make install':

cp: cannot create regular file `/usr/local/bin/wash': No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 1

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jens

My first guess is that /usr/local/bin does not exist, so you should create it and then try again.
sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/bin

I was on Ubuntu.  I found that I was getting hard drive errors, so I started from scratch with a reformatted drive and am now trying out Mint linux.  Everything seems to be working fine now.  Thanks.
