The EACL 2021 Diversity and Inclusion Committee is organising an event dedicated to language diversity on Tuesday, 20 April 2021, from 7 to 9 p.m. CEST (GMT+2).
It will include a panel to discuss possible measures for increasing and promoting language diversity in NLP conferences. The panelists are:
Kalika Bali (Microsoft Research Lab, India)
Teresa Lynn (ADAPT Centre, Dublin City University, Ireland)
Ivan Meza-Ruiz (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México)
Natalie Schluter (Google Brain & IT University, Copenhagen, Netherlands)
The panel will be accompanied by language games, to give a taster of different languages and celebrate language diversity.
