This is a release which attempts to deal with many of the problems that
have recently cropped up. This is a recommended update for developers
and cluster managers. Issues resolved in this release include:

- Floppy becomes unmounted during run time, we now check this as part of
the normal checks, and it should be remounted as necessary
- Time Sync - We've disabled the VMWare time sync so that an NTP client
that is now running in the VM can properly maintain time, allowing users
to use services that require time synchronization (i.e. Simics license
server)
- Disk size - home.vmdk is now 8 GB, I will post a link to a larger one
at a later date, though any size single partition, ext3 disk can be used

Changes (for fun):
- Rewrote the condor monitoring script, much cleaner and should detect
more scenarios
- Rewrote cow, now we use pivot_root for a much cleaner cow stack

Beta inclusions:
As mentioned previously, we have done some experiments that allowed us
to use a 64-bit Kernel in a 32-bit userland allowing users to take
advantage of large memory sizes without PAE (which so happens would have
required its own kernel anyway). This is now included in the default
Grid Appliance.

Hopefully this is the last release until later this summer when we roll
out our plans for the next academic year.

Also a message will be posted to the website in the morning.

Cheers,
David

Just to note, there is NO need to update unless your personal machine is
experiencing one of the 3 issues (or you like the latest version of
things :-)). To be clear, this update does not break compatibility with
previous versions. Please let me know if there are any issues.

Regards,
David
