hey cyberciticens

after i wasnt able to install "socialvpn_0.5.1.exe" on my last windows
XP SP3 installation i wanna try again.on my new fresh installation.
Whitch Microsoft .NET Framework is recommended, since you dont tell
what version and
we are at 4.0 now, but the lastest NET version seems not to work with
"socialvpn_0.5.1.exe"

So what version i need to install 3,5 ? 3.0 ?

Thanks

I dont think .NET 4.0 should be a problem, but I have not had the chance to test socialvpn on windows xp on .NET 4.0. Please try an earlier version of .NET to see if that fixes the problem.

I doubt that iTunes would be the problem.

ok here we go ,

installed NET 3.5 and socialvpn, addet firewall rule , starting
socialvpn and opening http://127.0.0.1:58888 in chrome

and using this gmail account as jabber ID, as soon as i add someone
the virtual "tapipop" network interface say " Network cable was
removed"

So i restart the socal VPN with the placeholder scripts installed on
my desktop, the error disapear and it works for a few minutes.

Another stupid question , whitch credentials i need to put into the
fields when i klick on "Login" in the upper right corner ?

When i use" add test server" another error appears saying " Faild to
parse adress string"

After a few minutes i need to restart again, because the network
error " Network cable was removed" appears again.

thanks

I just tested SocialVPN on a brand new install of Windows XP running .NET framework 4.0 and it seems to be working. I dont know if some other software is causing the error. Do you have another VPN software installed, or some firewall that might be causing issues?
