I ran some tests using Grid Appliance comparing openvpn, the old IPOP
+ old GA, and the new IPOP + new GA. The differences on IPOP and GA
besides the NAT traversal code improvement is a switch to events
instead of polling for as many operations as possible. The tests were
the time to connect to a manager with 150 nodes simultaneously
connecting to it and a node submitting a sleep 600 job to all 150
nodes and how long it took to complete.
I'm quite impressed with the new IPOP, I am not sure we can get too
much better without some caches and improvements on the overlay.
Cheers,
David
Don't worry, I have EPS (vector) format on my local machine...
I can't wait to test!
