Parbona Ami Charte Toke is a Bengali romantic comedy film directed by Raj Chakraborty and starring Bonny Sengupta and Koushani Mukherjee. Plot summary
Shibu and Aparna are cousins who grow up together in a village. Shibu is a carefree and mischievous boy who loves to tease Aparna, while Aparna is a studious and sensible girl who dislikes Shibu's antics. They often quarrel with each other but also share a deep bond. Shibu's father dies when he is young and his mother raises him alone. Aparna's father is a wealthy businessman who wants to marry her off to a rich groom.
When they grow up, Shibu decides to go to Kolkata to pursue his dreams of becoming a singer. He leaves behind a letter for Aparna, confessing his love for her and asking her to wait for him. Aparna is shocked and confused by his sudden departure and his feelings for her. She decides to forget him and focus on her studies. She gets admission in a prestigious college in Kolkata and moves there with her father.
In Kolkata, Shibu struggles to make a living as a singer. He meets Kabita, a rich and spoiled girl who falls in love with him. She helps him get a chance to sing in a music competition. Shibu agrees to date her in return for her help. Meanwhile, Aparna meets Arif, a handsome and charming boy who is her classmate. He impresses her with his intelligence and kindness. He proposes to her and she accepts.
Shibu and Aparna cross paths again when they participate in the same music competition. They are shocked to see each other and realize that they still have feelings for each other. They also find out about each other's partners and feel jealous. They try to avoid each other but fate brings them closer. They end up spending a night together in a hotel room after getting drunk. They confess their love for each other and decide to elope.
However, their plan is foiled by their respective partners, who inform their parents about their affair. Shibu and Aparna are confronted by their angry families, who oppose their relationship. Shibu's mother slaps him for betraying Kabita, while Aparna's father threatens to disown her for choosing Shibu over Arif. They are forced to separate and return to their partners.
Shibu and Aparna are unhappy with their lives and miss each other terribly. They realize that they cannot live without each other and decide to reunite. They call each other and agree to meet at the airport, where they plan to fly away together. However, they face another hurdle when they reach the airport. Kabita and Arif arrive there with their goons and try to stop them from escaping. A fight ensues between them, during which Shibu gets stabbed by Arif.
Aparna rushes to Shibu's side and begs him not to die. She tells him that she loves him more than anything in the world. Shibu smiles and tells her that he loves her too. He then loses consciousness and falls into her arms. The film ends with a cliffhanger, leaving the audience wondering whether Shibu survives or not.
