The house keeping contractor has submitted a new quotation for  FY 20`14-15  seeking  aggregate upward revision of  Rs 6600/- in the housekeeping staff's wages which is considered reasonable. Our new expenditure on the house keeping wages will now be Rs.73500/- . excluding service tax. The corresponding figure for the FY 2013-14 is  Rs. 66900/-. .Have further negotiated this with the contractor and the negotiated increase will be Rs 500/- per person  i.e., Rs 5500/- total. for 11 persons.

2. Recommend this be approved and the contract be  renewed for a further period of 01 year WEF 01 Apr, 2014. 

3. I am attaching  scanned copy of the quotation received.

Dear Cdr. Gupta

Thank you forwarding the revised quote of the housekeeping contractor. We have little choice but to yield to the revised rate. I am sure they themselves would be under considerable pressure due to increasing manpower cost.

From my point of view you can go ahead with the increase that you have suggested, after due negotiations with the service provider.

Vijay- We must be prepared to receive increased quotes from other service providers also...such as lift maintainence and security services as well.

Agreed,  we should wait for Society Manager's proposal evaluation. Hopefully, Cdr. Gupta has the proposal.

I suppose some society visit where they are operating is also scheduled. May be they can show/operate in our society for few days.

The current contractor's payment will be coming up shortly. In view of this I think we should approve the enhanced rate.

In the meantime we can take a decision on "society manager" and give the contractor one month's notice.

This way we will have a smooth working and transition.

Thank you for your mail.  I am in principle in agreement with your draft and also the increase close to 10% from April onwards.

I have put my comments in the attached document.

My area is concern is compliance in terms of PF to the authorities, which we will be liable as a principle employer.  I would request you to please add these and ask them to submit a proof of payment towards these, so that there is no liability on us.
