QuickBooks Desktop Sync Manager allows users to sync company data with third-party applications and Intuit services. When it stops working, syncing fails and errors may appear such as:
“Intuit Sync Manager is Not Setup to Sync any Files.”
This issue usually occurs due to corrupted files outdated software firewall restrictions or connectivity problems.

✔ Outdated QuickBooks version
✔ Internet or firewall blocking
✔ Corrupted Windows components
✔ Insufficient file permissions
Close QuickBooks. Locate the Sync Manager folder and rename it by adding “.old” at the end. Restart QuickBooks. A new folder will be created automatically.
Go to Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop.
Select Update Now then click Get Updates.
Restart the software and try syncing again.
Navigate to:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Intuit
Open QuickBooks → Help → Manage Data Sync → Clear Sync Settings.
Reconfigure Sync Manager.
Open Task Manager and end all QuickBooks related processes. Restart the system and launch Sync Manager again.
Ensure firewall or antivirus is not blocking QuickBooks folders or Intuit services. Add exceptions if required.
In most cases the QuickBooks Sync Manager not working problem is resolved by updating the software resetting sync settings or fixing corrupted files. If the issue persists a clean reinstall of QuickBooks may help restore proper syncing functionality.
