Well before we know it Christmas and the New Year will be upon us, so let’s have one last get together before then. On Sunday 23^rd November, a few of us are meeting at Odd Café, 116 Greenway, Greenside at 09h00 for a quick cup of tea. We’ll then take a steady ride through to 33 High Street in Modderfontein for a breakfast, and maybe partake in one or two craft ales that they brew on site there J

Hello everyone.

 

Just a reminder that the 1,000 Bikes Show is getting a little bit closer. Our plan is to get all the scooters over to Germiston High School (the venue of the 1,00 Bikes) on Friday afternoon 3^rd July. The show is over 2 days on the 4^th & 5^th so we then remove the scooters on Sunday afternoon. From the feedback I’ve got, we are going to have an awesome display of classic Lambrettas and Vespa’s.

The Lambrettas already confirmed include the following models:  Series 1, 2 & 3’s; Luna; TV; L.I; SX; & DL. I’m hoping that Craig may also arrange to get a D Model there from the early 1950’s.

 

The Vespas already confirmed include the following models:  GS150 & 160, SS180, Rally 200, Fender light, GTR125, Primavera, PX200e

 

The standard / finish of scooters will be from barn find to real blinged; from original paint to custom.

 

If you have more than one scooter and would like to show it off at this year’s 1000 bike please let either myself or Andy know so we can add your scooter to the list of bikes to be shown. If you only have 1 scooter I would prefer if you would rather join us on the ride on the Saturday morning so we can also have a great collection of scooters in the parking lot as well as in the main tent.

 

Let’s all put in a little effort here to ensure that this show is a real success for the Classic Scooter Scene in Johannesburg.
