Good morning Boys and Girls Distinguished Gentleman Ride AKA DGR2016
So some of you may have joined us in the past for the DGR so you know what to expect but for those that haven’t this is a ride which takes place worldwide on the same day and it’s to raise funds toward research on Prostate cancer. I know that last year a few of us were in the fair cape making some wonderful routes and memories BUT this year we are back and ready for the JHB streets and to show these café racers who actually owns this town.
The ride is on Sunday the 25th September 2016 and will be hosted in Johannesburg with our departure from Woodmead News Café (because it’s about the Vibe) there is a route planned which I was involved in so have made sure our scooters keep up and stay with the mass ride through the entire trip. The idea for the DGR is to have vintage motorcycles and motor scooters show off on the streets of which ever city while also making money toward the research… most riders that participate are on Café Racers or Bobbers or that type of bike and for some reason not only do they have poor taste in machines but also in attire, with way too many bow ties and pipes. WE ARE THE MODS and Mods are sharp so I would like to ask all of you to try mod up as much as possible and show these Grebos what distinguished is supposed to look like.

… note although it’s called Distinguished Gentleman ladies are more than welcome to get involved, dress and ride for a cause.

Russell and Neil ye that does sound like a Plan however the only issue is the departure time from Woodmead has changed slightly
Departure from Woodmead is now 9:30am I recommend travel time from Glenhove to Woodmead at 45 min just incase there are any breakdowns etc… so 8:40 is the time I would like stands up to be on the road to get there.
