L.S.,

I run Ubuntu 10.10* on Acer Extensa 4220. My issue is excessive heat,
to the point that the computer shuts down after about half an hour
tops. I take it it's because of the fan _constantly working_. I was
wondering if anyone could point me to the right direction as to how to
use your module to resolve my issue. Complementary information about
my system is pasted below this message. Please feel free to ask for
more information should they be required.

(*) Recently upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 from 10.4.

Kind regards and thank you in advance,
Sina

It might not be clear from my initial account but the issue is not
caused by the upgrade. As far as I can remember, it has persisted
through all my Ubuntu installations since a two years ago.

I opened and cleaned it as much as I could. Nevertheless, the fan still runs non-stop.
