Hello all,

The next testing release of acer_acpi is out - 0.11 RC1.

http://aceracpi.googlecode.com/files/acer_acpi-0.11_rc1.tar.bz2

So, the big changes are:

1) As promised in the 0.10 release, 0.11 adds limited autodetection for
bluetooth and the correct maximum brightness (although this should work,
testing would be much appreciated).

(3G autodetection would be nice, but until someone actually has one of the 3G
models _with_ 3G actually built in to get some data from, this will have to
wait).

If you have any problems after this change, please also give the value
from /sys/devices/platform/acer_acpi/devices when reporting them.

2) AMW0 V2 laptops now use the WMID methods to access the hardware - this
means I no longer need to maintain EC quirks for each of these laptops just
to read basic values from them (and should hopefully fix a few other problems
that have started cropping up on the newer AMW0 V2 laptops).

3) AMW0 (V1) laptops now all use the Aspire 5020 quirks by default, since
testing has shown that all these laptops use the same EC registers to report
the values we want.

So, to summarise:

Big changes for AMW0 V2 users
Changes for AMW0 V2 and WMID users
Not very big changes for AMW0 (V1) users.
