Hello All - We have an ACE meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, 9-10:30 here at Metro, but I will not be able to facilitate nor attend (sorry!)

If anyone wants to facilitate, please reply to all and I will keep the room reserved for the meeting.

The next meeting after that will be April 3.

Thanks so much,

Carl

Hello Everyone,

I am not able to attend because of my workload on other large regional efforts.

Here are my updates:

  1. KPTV Public Service Announcement Campaign (to begin July 1)
    1. A large number of public agencies from Marion, WA, Mult, Clark counties, including Metro, are pooling resources to buy $70K worth of ads that will be water health/pollution reduction messages done with their meteorologists.  They are #1 in the news across all time slots.
    2. Magid company is conducting TV watcher focus groups with our previous PSAs to inform what they like/dislike and what they understood/was confusing to aid with future campaign work.  Results will be available by next meeting if you want me to present.
  2. Clean Rivers Coalition—we have hired Brink and are now in the research phase.  We are narrowing our list of priority pollutants from the forums and are going to circle back with state experts and our stakeholders to ask “what are the highest priority from your perspective”.  Results from that may be ready by April meeting, not positive.  Based on that work, Phase II is Brink working towards a public survey/focus groups that they have been contracted to do.  Then all stakeholders will be invited to a forum to provide more input to Brink on future campaign ideas that are possible based on public feedback.
