Hello Team,

At the Intertwine Outreach and Engagement Committee meeting Weds, there was strong interest in taking a look at our survey monkey draft info gathering tool as they work on a similar effort to collect resource information more broadly around the region.  It would be great if they build upon the great work you (Jen and Nikkie) have done to create a version that works for their needs.  Can I go ahead and send them the link to the survey you two sent out?  They realize it's a draft, so I think it's ok if it isn't perfect.  That group would like one of the final products to be a searchable database on the Intertwine website!  That idea is moving forward!

I would like to share our survey with the committee as soon as possible, so let me know if you have any reservations as soon as you can.

Thanks!

Jamie

I personally love the idea of sharing it now to align and/or combine.

Thanks,

That would be great, please do.  Nikkie has also begun the conversation with their web guru about what it would take to get that searchable database up on the IT website -- excited to see this moving forward!

Hey Jamie et al –

Please feel free to share the survey with them. But, I believe ACE’s survey project and the ConEd Council’s survey project have little in common (aside from both being surveys). The intent, type of information being gathered, and future use of the info is different.

The ACE group was interested in compiling practical info on the specific resources and services available to property owners. Our goal was to create a searchable database so that we can make referrals easily and efficiently. It was one of the projects we identified as “low hanging fruit”.

Based on the meeting I attended, the ConEd Council is interested in a far broader and more comprehensive survey that will measure regional conservation attitudes (head), knowledge (heart) and involvement (hands) – over time. The info they gather will be incredible useful to all of us. So we could definitely consider supporting their survey.

But, does it make sense to lump the together when the projects are so different?

Thanks for your speedy feedback, everybody!

I agree with you Nikkie that the place committee survey is different.  I am on the outreach and engagement committee, which is planning a different survey than the place committee. The o and e group is hoping to build a searchable database of provider focus area and resource information to aid in collaboration among providers, help people find resources in their area, and help us make referrals, very similar to our effort but on a larger scale. The o an e survey will go out to providers like us, while the place committee survey will go out to the general public.

I will send the draft survey to the o and e group. Thanks again for your comments!

Best,
Jamie
