Seonna Hong because everything in her paintings looks realistic, but what is shown is very different from reality. Saelee Oh because her cut paper and paintings make me happy and they're full of cute animals.Vincent Van Gogh because it feels like you could step into the paintings and walk around in a strange world.
I do not knit. I really want to learn more about photography. I love my 3 cats.
I have a small business where I sell crocheted hats which have small stuffed "mysters" who live in their pockets. I rented a booth at the Renegade Craft Fair in December and sold hats and t-shirts with my friend Tiger Lily.

I have studied a lot about art from school with my three teachers : Linda, Kristie, and my new teacher Kim Khan. I also used to take classes outside of school when I was in elementary and I am currently painting and drawing at a local art studio called Art Works. My favorite artist consist of mainly photographers such as Alex Prager, Henri Cartier Benedict and Wes Anderson. I really love Alex Prager because she is always able to get such an emotion from the people in her photos and she uses her focus in such a dynamic way. I am very amazed by Henri Cartier Benedict's work because he creates these moments that are so incredibly beautiful, since he used black and white film I feel as if he REALLY captured the feeling and emotion. I really do adore Wes Anderson, because he captures footage like I would by taking profiles, wide shots and the way the people are directed to look like in his films. I love taking photos, its such a passion. I once did a photo shoot with my friend and in the end I felt so pleased with myself. I showed my parents and they kept saying that I had such great talent in taking photos. Back then photography was something I liked to do when I was alone, but then after that I realized that my art is very interesting for others so I stated doing more art.
I take an acrobatic and trampoline class outside of school that is super fun! I do it with all my super supportive friends and I get to set goals for myself to do better and learn new tricks. I am able to do flips on a tumble track and I am able to front handsprings on floor. I am currently learning how to do a backwards handspring, its such an amazing work out and super fun.

I painted at a studio called Brushstrokes beginning when I was six. In addition, I've been taking art at my school since kindergarten. "• Leonardo da Vinci- He is, in my opinion, the most talented artist in the entire history of the world. I love that he is a biologist as well as an artist.
• Andy Warhol- His style is incredibly unique, and each of his pieces are very captivating and interesting to look at." Even though I've never taken a formal drawing class, I taught myself to draw and I am really proud of some of the pieces that I've done. "I love to collect things that I find.
*For example*
old drawings and prints from flea markets, notebooks, vintage cameras, Buddha statues, etc."

From 8-10 I had a guy named Chris Jackson who, I believe worked on Pokemon and other animated television shows give me some cartooning lessons, and also gave me extra help on other drawing techniques like shading, perspective, and anatomy. Also, the summer of 4th grade, I took a cartooning courses in Pasadena Arts College. I also did some classes on art during school.
I have many artistic influences but for now, Charles Schulz, Gary Larson, and Salvador Dali. I like Charles Schulz because I love the way he draws the characters and it has more of the comic feel, and I also like the little joke lines that you finally get in the end. Gary Larson is my favorite because his comics are very funny and I like how its abstract but not at the same time. Salvador Dali has influenced me because I like surrealist paintings and, depending on the artist, who is creating the painting and there perception of fantasy worlds. Im really focused, and I really want to make this summer about my art. Progressing forward in becoming and artist.
When I was 8 I made my own comic called "Big Guy, Little Guy" about 2 brothers who are vastly difference not only in appearance but personality wise. The one is more short and serious and the other like a friendly giant! I was very influenced by a comic in a nickelodeon comic, and ever since then I took the idea and morphed it into my own and the years going by they take there own personalities. I can even imagine them in real life.

"I like Monet because he went out and did something that no other artist had done, started Impressionism. He was brave and tried new techniques. I love his Water Lillies paintings and they inspired me to one day do an impressionist painting.
I like to play football and basketball, shop, paint, go to the movies (my favorite movie is Pitch Perfect) and hang with my friends. I'm shy when I meet new people, but when I get to know them, I'm loud and can't shut up ;D
I'm proud of writing the slave auction scene in my class culmination on American history. It was fun writing the scene. We got to put some emotion into it because two slaves in a family are getting separated.

Drawing and writing are my passions. I try to produce one piece of artwork every day. I have made several amateur short films with my friends, and I put all my passion and creativity into all of my drawings. I bike as a hobby, I usually bike quite a few miles in a weekend. I also bake & cook with my parents and I like to hike the canyons.

At Oakwood I've studied with Kim Kahn, Mike Minelli. I've also done animation classes outside school and draw a lot in my free time.
I really like Magritte because it's pretty, the lighting is cool. Emek is very interesting because the drawings are very complicated and surreal. I saw an exhibit of Max Ernst at the Met and love the interesting creatures and how supersaturated the colors are. I have an R. Crumb book of cartoons - love his detail, crosshatching. I like drawing with ink.
I like food. I like to make drawings that are either funny or really violent. Generally both.
Just drawings that I do in my spare time, of robots and stuff. I love creating characters that are sci-fi and otherworldly and very detailed.

I have studied art at Oakwood in previous years. I also have learned photography by taking many photographs by myself.
Ansel Adams, because he took photographs in black and white. He also captured moments in time that make you feel connected with the scene. I love photography and my mom loves taking photos as well. I also have a close friend who is a DP and has taught me a lot about photography and video. I've been told i have a "good eye". I am proud and I love to take volleyball lessons. I would typically not consider this to be art, but if you took each time I came in contact with the ball in a snapshot, it would be considered art.
