Filter functionality fixed in 1.8.1?

We are currently using version 1.6 of ace-am and cannot get the filter functionality (e.g., to ignore "Thumbs.db") to work.  We've tried the fixed to managefiters.jsp suggested in this post -- https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ace-devel/1nQ9v5Q_zbE -- but without success.  (The fix does permit the form fields to display but "Save" does not seem to persist the filter.)

I see there is a bug report -- https://scm.umiacs.umd.edu/redmine/adapt/issues/126 -- that seems to be related the filter functionality.  It's still open, though it is marked as targeted for version 1.7 for a fix.

So, my question is, does the filter functionality work correctly in 1.8.1?  This will help us decide whether to upgrade now or not.

Hi Jim,

I had modified the servlet for adding filters to get it working again in revision 197, so the functionality that was there before was restored for the filters. This update was pushed out as of version 1.8 (also 1.8 and 1.8.1 need Java 1.7).

I'll update old issues/bug reports as well so that they will no longer contain old versions.
