We want to use ACE-AM to monitor the checksums of some files stored in a location that is only accessible via a secure VPN.  We have installed ACE-AM on a server within that VPN.  When we try to run ACE-AM to audit the files, the audit fails because ACE-AM is trying to connect to the IMS service at the University of Maryland.  Is it possible to disable the attempt to make this connection and, if so, how do we do that and what functionality might we be losing in doing so?  We’re running ACE-AM 1.6.
Thanks.

 Hi Jim,
We don't currently support disconnected operation as one of the strengths of ACE is using the IMS to create tokens which secure your stored digests. In 1.7 we support ingesting pre-existing token stores, so a workflow in which the IMS is disconnected and tokens are loaded through an outside mechanism would be possible. If you are not able to load tokens and just rely only on internal digests, you would not be able to detect if any changes were made to the digests in your database.
