The End of the Virtual Forum on OER and ODL

From the Moderator-General's desk, let me thank you all for your participation in the Virtual Forum.

As an experiment thought about with some doubts and hesitation in our mind, the outcome certainly surpassed our expectations. We did not know how many will participate and for the first few days, it seemed that there would be no takers.

But it gradually warmed up and had many contributors while hundreds were participating as lurkers. Indeed, contributions are still coming in and looks like more will come even after this formal closure of the e-discussion.

I must thank those who contributed and especially all the Facilitators who did an excllent job of their sub-themes. It is hoped that all the contributions will form the onset of further discussions at both the pre conference workshops and the conference proper.

I shall, by wednesday afternoon post, the content summary of the 4-week discussion on the Virtual Forum.
