Job Summary:

The SAP Management of Change (MoC) Consultant is responsible for overseeing the management of changes within the SAP environment, ensuring that all changes are executed efficiently, with minimal risk to system stability, and in alignment with business objectives. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to define change requirements, implementing changes, and managing the change lifecycle to ensure system integrity and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management:
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of changes within the SAP system, including configuration changes, upgrades, and patches.
    • Develop and maintain change management policies and procedures to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate change requests, including impact analysis, risk assessment, and approval processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand change requirements and impact on business processes.
    • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure smooth execution of changes and address any issues that arise.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all changes, including change requests, approvals, implementation plans, and post-implementation reviews.
    • Prepare and present reports on change management activities, highlighting key metrics, risks, and issues.
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Coordinate and oversee testing activities to validate changes and ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
    • Manage the development and execution of test cases, including regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Change Control:
    • Monitor and manage the change control process to ensure changes are implemented according to established procedures and standards.
    • Review and resolve issues related to change implementation and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving change management processes and tools.
    • Stay current with industry best practices and SAP advancements to enhance change management practices.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in SAP change management or a related role, with a strong understanding of SAP modules and system landscapes.
    • Experience with change management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of SAP architecture and change management principles.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant SAP certifications or change management certifications (e.g., ITIL) are advantageous.
