Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Perl Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Perl programming, with experience in writing code to support website functionality, developing new features, and troubleshooting issues. The role involves close collaboration with web designers and other developers, as well as integrating with third-party applications and maintaining technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code Development:
- Write and maintain Perl code to support and enhance website functionality.
- Develop new features and functionalities as required by project specifications and business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Perl applications and website performance.
- Integration & Collaboration:
- Work closely with web designers to ensure seamless integration of designs with backend functionality.
- Collaborate with other developers to integrate Perl code with third-party applications and services.
- Contribute to code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code standards.
- Maintenance & Documentation:
- Update and optimize existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
- Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for code and system integrations.
- Create and manage documentation related to code changes, new features, and system integrations.
- Problem Solving & Support:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and debugging Perl applications, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in Perl development, including writing, debugging, and maintaining Perl code.
- Familiarity with web development technologies and frameworks.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Perl programming, including experience with CPAN modules and Perl best practices.
- Experience with integrating Perl applications with third-party APIs and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively with web designers and other developers to achieve project goals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
