Invitation for Shamima: Certified International Tax Planning and Structuring Manager
Dear Shamima,

Africa’s tax environment is among the world’s most complex, spanning 54 nations with different tax codes, complex compliance rules, and conflicting regulatory frameworks. With over 400 often inconsistent double tax treaties and fragmented adoption of global standards like the OECD’s BEPS, navigating this landscape poses immense challenges for tax and finance leaders.

To equip you with the latest strategies to navigate Africa’s complex international tax landscape and attain a globally-recognized certification, I would like to invite you to our Certified International Tax Planning and Structuring Manager online executive program, available from 6 – 8 May 2026 via Zoom.

Offered only once every two years, this program will provide you with cutting-edge insights into cross-border tax planning, treaty interpretation, and compliance strategies tailored to Africa’s diverse jurisdictions. By the end of this program, you will earn the
Certified International Tax Planning and Structuring Manager designation, validating your expertise in international tax planning, Double Taxation Agreements (DTA) application, Permanent Establishment (PE) risk assessment, transfer pricing compliance, cross-border structuring, and alignment with global standards such as BEPS and Pillar Two.

What You Can Expect

This certified program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive and practical understanding of international tax planning and structuring within the African context. It covers a wide range of essential topics including Africa’s expanding tax treaty networks, cross-border structuring frameworks across major economies, and emerging practices in taxation and dispute resolution. You will gain the skills to interpret DTAs, assess PE risks, manage intellectual property and royalty taxation, and apply transfer pricing frameworks consistent with OECD guidelines, while also understanding the application of Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) rules and General Anti-Avoidance Rules (GAAR).

The program further develops your expertise in structuring cross-border investments and financing arrangements to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring full compliance with domestic and international frameworks. Through regional insights and applied learning, you will strengthen your ability to navigate treaty access issues, mitigate tax leakage, and prepare robust documentation for regulatory review. By completion, you will be equipped to design tax strategies that are both compliant and strategically aligned to Africa’s evolving markets.
