When they launch our application, they are immediately presented with a message "Please wait while Windows configures AutoCAD Utility Design 2015", with another message overlapping, asking to "Run Setup.exe to install AutoCAD Utility Design 2015 - English". If the user clicks on the OK button, he then is presented with the authentification window of our application, and upon confirming his credentials, the AutoCAD installer messages come back again and can only be "removed" by clicking OK two times in a row. Our application then fully launches and no other issues with AutoCAD until the next launch. This situation occurs even with an "admin" account.
I have managed to find a kind of "workaround" to this situation, for one of our clients, but I feel like the real / main issue isn't solved and that's what annoys me. The workaround comes in two folds :
At first gance, it looks like a rights / permission level issue, but then why would AutoCad installer be launched when our application has no (know) links to AutoCAD, unless some obscure shared ressource (DLL?? OCX?? other??), where one would interfere with another?? I have read articles about MSI and the KeyPath value being one of the main reference for Windows to determine if a given application maybe corrupted or not, triggering its reinstallation if that value doesn't match the workstation's reality. What then would trigger AutoCAD's installer when our application is launched?
As for the solutions proposed in one of your links (Pendean), it turns out the "repair" solution worked out miracles for one of our clients. As for another one, using DWG TrueView 2015, the issue remains, even if used the "repair" option for re-installation. Yet another client used the "Run as admin" option and reported no more "Please run setup..." messages from AutoCAD 2015 when launching our application. But this latter solution does not suit the client with DWG TrueView 2015, in terms of deployment, and upgrading the few users to Admin of their own machine does not appeal to hime either, even as local admins...
My company is in the process to switching to version 2016, and we had the same problem pop up. On our end, repairing the installation, with all programs closed (don't have anything running) seems to have fixed the problem.
Notes to those who are in a domain evironment like i just dealt with. If the user is a standard user and not an admin then " logon as an admin to uninstall/ adduser to administrators group in local users and groups./ logon as that user and reinstall. remove user from administrators group and logoff logon again and should't have an issue.
Note: For most 2022 and later products for Windows, you can configure your product in Autodesk Account before you install. For most product releases earlier than 2022, you download the installer and then customize during installation.
Every time I press on the Install Autodesk AutoCad Icon that I downloaded from the their website, the installer shows a message, I press continue and then the installer crashes or quits unexpectedly. I recently downloaded Firefox from the internet, could this have damaged my computer? How do I fix this?
we have a newly bought laptop. and my colleague is planning to install an Autocad but the laptop has 128 GB SSD only with (73GB fee space still no MS office installed) and 2TB drive D:, does anyone here tried installing autocad on drive D with no issue?? can you post an instruction on how to do it?? we are using windows 10 OS

Hello, I always have the same problem when installing BCF Manager for revit 2021 even if I change my laptop. here is the message I get into french (my native language): "Revit ne peux pas executer l'application externe BCF Manager 6.0. Contacter le fournissuer pour obtenir de l'aide. Information fournie a Revit sur son indidentite: JUBUS BV EINDHOVEN"The same things appears when installing BCF Version 6.2But there is no problem when installing and working with Revit 2023.
Great for controlling issues. But having to enter the password everytime is very annoying. Would help if it remembered the pw in Revit. Also the fact that the addin has a different password than the website is unnecessary in my opinion.
Hello Hasan, the current installer supports Revit versions 2020 to 2023. During the installation process you will be able to choose to which Revit version you can install it. *You should have received your Support ID in an email to your school email address (.edu). If you have not filled out our Academic Request Form, please do so now to have your Support ID emailed to you.
During the File Location and License Terms Screen step, you will be asked where to install the LandFX folder. We recommend keeping the default location of C:\LandFX.
The LandFX folder contains all the files and data that our software needs to use, as well as any custom content you create. Our installer will create this folder automatically in the location you choose. You are free to keep it in the default location of C:/LandFX (directly on the C: drive of your computer).

EDIT: @david wolfe wrote an answer to this question to automatically install the plugin in Autocad 2012 and higher, but i deal even with autocad 2011 and autocad 2000, then I found the following solution.
Problem 1 SOLUTION:the autocad plugin developed in vb.net is a dll file.To automatically load it when autocad is launched, autocad needs that the system registry is modified.To do it, i prefer a method that doesn't use autocad.I created a new "Windows Forms Application" project (called INSTALLER) in vb.net, in the default form i added 2 buttons: one that registers the plugin, and one that removes the plugin. Note: In this sample i decided that the dll plugin file must be placed in the same folder of the exe application that we are going to create(the INSTALLER).Here it is the code for our plugin installer/remover.First of all create a module and paste this code:(some of the comments and messages inside the code are in italian, you can easily translate them in your language with google translate)
