This was proposed artwork for the first (1989) Batman Movie. I am not sure who painted it but its one of the best Batman related paintings. It was published in the Chipp Kidd book 'Batman Collected'. The reason the painting was not used was the viewer is drawn to the Joker (Jack Nicholson) in the piece rather than Batman. In the end they went with the rather tame Batman symbol. Without the Joker there is no Batman. Again the flash has gone off but it was too dark with no flash. This piece is huge, over 40" long.
I can see an image of Darth Vader making graphs that describe the Singularity with his left hand while tightly rendering Odysseus gouging out the eye of Polyphemus with his right hand. At the same time Vader is reciting philosophy and critical theory in both English and binary code through a speaker in a mask that filters his true voice. The written portion of my thesis provides perspective into my artistic practice while elaborating on the ideas behind the two-dimensional allegorical panel paintings from my thesis exhibition, Kaczynski is to Walden as a Predator Drone is to Batman. I use symbols to construct imagery that aims to provoke thought surrounding our current relationships with technology.

The Kee Cave is located about 40 km north
of the district of Kahramanmaraş/Elbistan. One
of the most important features of this cave is
that it contains traces of life belonging to different
archaeological periods. The Paleolithic
chipped-stone tools and other archaeological
data uncovered around the cave revealed
that this cave was a place where excavations
should be carried out. The paintings found on
the interior walls of one of the small caves are
of great significance. All of these images are
made by painting technique, and they describe
a life story. There are various figures of human
depictions, symbols, and signs in the paintings
between the dotted bands. The color of
the paint used in the paintings usually belongs
to different shades of red, which is in shades
of ocher. A small number of paintings feature
different colors similar to purple and black. In
this study, firstly the Kee Cave will be mentioned,
and then the emergence and types of
the concept of art will be explained. Secondly,
examples of the paintings identified in Anatolia
will be mentioned. In the last section, the general
features of the pictures in Kee Cave will
be explained.
