BBC News Labs are happy to provide our access to our news APIs!
This includes all BBC News online content as well as articles from Sky News, The Guardian, The Telegraph, and other sources.
This also includes Tweets by all UK MP's with Twitter accounts (~440 accounts for 650 MPs).
You can search of them using entity extraction or free form text search (for free text searches, see the Juicer API).
We've also got some BBC News Labs stickers downstairs if you'd like to grab some!
BBC News Labs have two API's that you can use:
Client Libraries
To make the REST services easier to consume, we have Node.js and Ruby client libraries:
Getting an API Key
Registration is free and immediate, you will receive an automated email when you sign up, which contains a link to activate your account. Check your junk mail folder if you can't find it.
1. After registering, create a new application.
2. Select both the "bbcrd-newslabs-apis-product" and "bbcrd-juicer-apis-product" APIs for your application.
3. Your API key will be listed as the "Consumer Key" for your application.
