The following points are worth discussing in our next meeting :

1. It has been decided to collect following information  from each member / crane owner:

 

a)    Name of bank(s) being patronized presently. Interest rates provided by banks and finance companies

 

b)    Name of insurance company(s) from where their cranes/equipments are insured and the types of risks covered (third party / comprehensive, etc.).

 

2. Mr. Sunil Makad has been asked to get Policy of Insurance from SC&RA / USA and study the same so as to  get best quote from Insurance company(s) and negotiate the premium for the benefit of the members of COAOI.

 

3. Mr. Karim Jaria, Mr. Sunil Makkad, Mr. Pinakin Thaker & Mr. Mitesh Shethia agreed to prepare details as to what terms must be covered in the Cover Note of Insurance Company in respect of a mobile / crawler crane.  These details once ready will be circulated to all the Executive Committee Members.

 

4. Mr. Sunil Makad agreed to discuss with his insurance agent / consultant to find out how best a crane owner can cover various risks of his mobile / crawler crane in an insurance policy and what minimum risks / clauses should be acceptable to a crane owner / member.

 

5. Mr. Ashwin Gandhi informed that once the policy is framed and negotiated with the agency, it will be circulated to all members to follow the same.  Members will get the benefit of discounted rates in addition to help & assistance during claim process.
